I was using a jvc camcorder with a stereocam adaptor………It worked fine when I played it from the camera to the tv, but when I uploaded it to my computer, it was in a .mod file instead of a .mpeg or .mpg which it’s was suppose to be……My player ( windows media player and other players can’t play this type of file )
I’d not recommend using a single camera to record 3d anyhow- unless you have a special 3d lense/mirror thingy. Better wait till the fujifilm 3d camera comes out
hi! interesting story- I of course haven’t used the camera so I don’t know the full story but have you tried opening the renamed file not in the 3d program (what program are you using? ) but in a regular player? was the sound still gone? could have been a video codec thingy- installing klite usually helps. But again since I don’t have hands-on experience and since you returned it it doesn’t matter,
Hey Ron, this is Geoffrey (on my second account ).
You had the JVC Everio? I have that one too and it works alright in Adobe Premiere Elements 4. The .MOD thing is an MPEG-format and renaming the extension usually does work. Windows Movie Maker will not eat the file, though, so although I can use my camera perfectly now, I do agree with you that this is pretty retarded.
Best Buy service sucks. Here in Holland stores are obligated by law to refund you in cases like these.
